The Group HR Director will ultimately take responsibility for shaping and executing the HR Strategy globally. This means catering for the short term needs of the business, as well as the overall business plan and strategic direction. Our aggressive growth agenda means it is pivotal to the success of the Group to introduce forward thinking and rigorous HR frameworks that support organic and acquisition led growth. The role will be based in Los Angeles, CA and will oversee HR across all offices – 90% of our current employee base is located outside the US in a variety of jurisdictions and with differing cultural backgrounds. The role will include regular monthly travel and unsociable hours to interact with local management and employees. The successful candidate will require the autonomy to design and drive new initiatives, and regularly report to senior management with updates on the progress of company-wide recruitment and HR initiatives.

Key responsibilities associated with the Group HR Director role include but are not limited to the following:

  • HR strategy, delivery and operations
  • HR governance and risk management, including employment law and regulatory compliance
  • Recruitment, retention and succession planning
  • Learning and development
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Employee relations
  • Employee safety, welfare and wellness
  • Company policies and HR processes
  • Annual pay reviews, performance reviews and general employee performance
  • Implementation of new HR system and production of compelling HR analysis
  • Standardization of all contracts, consultancy agreements and other documents


  • Experience within a global business
  • Proven generalist HR skills
  • Proven ability to manage a global HR team, with a hands on approach
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and previous experience of implementing and utilizing them
  • Previous experience with international employment law across different jurisdictions
  • A track record in delivering successful change initiatives
  • Capable of seeing the big picture and understanding objectives
