As a Product Owner you will be responsible for ensuring that work undertaken by the Group IT Operations team is delivered efficiently and with full visibility to the team and to other stakeholders. Your excellent communication skills will ensure that work is correctly specified, prioritised and undertaken in a quality-driven, highly collaborative manner. You will work closely with other Product Owners, technical teams, and other stakeholders to manage and drive key initiatives through to completion.

You will understand the commercial strategies of the Group and its constituent businesses, and how technical projects contribute to them. You will bridge the communication gap by both communicating this strategy to technologists and by presenting complex technical risks and opportunities in clear, actionable forms (from lists to infographics) to commercial and operational stakeholders, allowing both groups to make well informed decisions.


  • Actively promote Agile working practices and help the team transition from their current processes
  • Support the technical Team Leads in promoting a culture of ownership, responsibility, and quality
  • Take ownership of the Group’s IT Infrastructure and IT Services roadmaps and promote a pragmatic delivery strategy focusing on early delivery of value
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure that work is prioritised appropriately to meet business objectives, managing the (sometimes competing) priorities of three separate companies all judged on their revenue and EBITDA performance
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and the team to specify epics and stories with sufficient discussion and acceptance criteria to ensure successful delivery
  • Organise work estimates at various levels of granularity to set delivery expectations appropriately and allow informed prioritisation
  • Prioritise issues and business as usual work alongside project deliverables
  • Update stakeholders with timely progress reports, highlighting successes and delivery risks (and mitigation strategies identified)
  • Work with the teams to continuously improve delivery practices


  • At least five years of Product Ownership, Project Management or similar role in an Agile environment, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • A technical education/background, within IT Operations, software development, quality or a related technical discipline, sufficient to allow you to quickly familiarise yourself with the terminology and practices of the team
  • Commercial experience with Scrum and/or Kanban Agile software delivery methodologies
  • Very strong customer service, communication and organisational skills
