Another batch of talented college football stars will be drafted into the NFL between April 29 and May 1. Out of the potential pros of tomorrow, Zach Wilson and Trey Lance are projected to be early picks, with their latest seasons tracked by NCAA LiveStats.

Ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, here’s a look at the performance of five of the most-sought after prospects from NCAA LiveStats schools.

1. Zach Wilson, BYU, QB

On the back of his recently announced brand deal with Nike, Utah-born Quarterback Wilson is expected to be this year’s second overall pick.

Last season he clocked an impressive 3,946 total passing and rushing yards, accounting for 62% of BYU’s total offense. He scored 43 TDs – 63% of the team’s overall count.

Wilson’s passer rating (196.4) was second to only Mac Jones (203.1) in NCAA Div 1 FBS.

2. Trey Lance, NDSU, QB

Arguably the best dual-threat QB in this year’s draft class, 20 year-old Lance is a projected top 15 pick.

Bison’s 2020 season was postponed due to COVID-19, so Lance missed out on competitive action last year. However, he shone in his only game during that time, recording an incredible 143 yards rushing, averaging 9.5 yards per carry for two TDs and a long of 54 yards.

3. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame, LB

Former Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah won the Butkus Award and was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-American in 2020.

Captured by NCAA LiveStats at the time, Owusu-Koramoah produced his best game of last year in a thrilling overtime win against Clemson. He finished with 9 total tackles, 2.5 TFL, 0.5 sacks and 1 FF, FR and defensive TD.

Owusu-Koromoah is expected to be a first-round pick.

4. Asante Samuel Jr., FSU, CB

Son of two-time Super Bowl champion Asante Samuel, Samuel Jr. is a top-five rated cornerback.

NCAA LiveStats was in action when he started the last season with a star performance against Georgia Tech, putting in 2 interceptions, averaging 37 yards per interception and completing five total tackles.

5. Trevon Moehrig, TCU, S

Another projected first round pick, Trevon Moehrig is the top-rated safety in this year’s draft.

In the 2020 season, he more than justified why. Data captured by NCAA LiveStats shows Moehrig completed 47 total tackles, 2 INT and 2 tackles for loss in only 10 games.
